Mechanics
Starting from 6 minutes into the game, gain Attack Damage or Ability Power (Adaptive) every 3 minutes. Bonuses increase over time, totaling 2/5/9/14/etc. or 4/10/18/28/etc. (based on game time)

- "So if you're playing against like a really hard matchup it's very common to go like bone plating right? But if it's an easy matchup then you might look for like uh a scaling angle for sorcery. you might go gathering storm or you might go for uh transcendence, right? So the the last rune is the one that's the most adaptable when you're looking at runes. so I think we start with the keystone identity issue, right?" (03:13)
- "Um, in the sorcery tree, scorch is a very early game focused rune, right? And then there's clear late game focused runes like gathering storm, right? So I'm not a big believer in Gathering Storm because it's kind of u I I feel like in most cases Scorch will actually be better for most laners. However, for junglers obviously where you're not really proing scorch, gathering storm is the answer. But on Ziggs, for example, or like even on Oriana or other champs, I might go sorcery on, I think Scorch might be more beneficial nowadays. However, if you're playing for the scaling and you have an easy matchup, you're playing against like a Morgana or something that's kind of like an AFK matchup, then gathering storm can be useful. This something I talk about at the beginning of the uh, you play based on the matchup, too. If you're playing some Morana, which is just straight up AFK matchup, she uses her W on the wave, she kills the wave, you don't really interact, then Gathering Storm is obviously the way to go on pretty much every champion because you don't care about poking her in lane. You care about scaling at that point, Uh, and then Extali Sajar as the last rune." (01:51:23)
- "So you don't need the additional ejar. It can help with the vision granted but the value you get from this rune will never be as high as scorch, nimbus cloak or gathering storm. So it can be okay for some champions don't really care about the other three runes, but I think Excel seedure after Sweet Tooth was changed to Pollenist has no real place uh as a rune unfortunately."
